This is exactly what amazes me about design. A simple, well designed symbol can become the very essence of an entity/organization. By the sounds of it, the company itself really had to think about adopting this symbol. Obviously the gamble paid off.

My second choice for a career was a carpenter of some sort. Came very close to studying it instead of graphics. I love well designed, and especially, well built furniture.

This chap from New York fell into his career after stumbling a bit as a writer. Sometimes life just works out certain ways, no matter how hard you plan. His spirit seems very happy.

Ubico – An amazing furniture company

Ubico

The “wake” is a collection of furniture\objects, which was Inspired by The Christian wake ceremony. The furniture are made of relatively small pieces of scrap timber cut to extremely accurate sizes and then glued together in a matrix to a block. The blocks are then carved into tree stump like shapes.
