I’m too good for Price Choppers…

It’s true! Price Choppers is just way too low-class for me. It would take a real emergency to even step foot inside one. I’m sorry if this offends anyone. Let me explain:

Price. Price Choppers; I mean even the name is pretentious. Who cares if you can thrive by selling quality groceries at an unbelievably low price. Personally, I’d much rather spend an extra 4 dollars for that jar of pickles. It would just make me feel as though I bought something of value. Who cares if they’re Vlassic, Bicks, or Our Compliments. Or if the expiry is good. Or that once I’ve finished that lone pickle, that may or may not have been made in a middle eastern country, the jar will go into the same recycling bin as that one 4 dollars less. It’s the idea that I’m in a grocery store that is more like me (or my BMW). And it’s that reason why I’ll pay more. And what if someone looks into my garbage can and sees all the Price Choppers plastic bags I’ve thrown away? It’s reassuring to know that they’ll see REAL grocery store plastic being shipped off to the landfill….
