Briefing
When two offices merged at Queen’s University, they wanted a new, unifying logo inspired by the existing brand and representative of their consolidated work advancing a culture of human rights, equity and inclusion on campus.
Approach
Drawing inspiration, colours and guidelines from the existing organizational brand meant preserving and reworking elements from work created by Leo Yerxa, the award-winning visual artist, writer and poet from Couchiching First Nation.
Result
Following the tones and imagery of Yerxa’s previous contributions to the brand, the new Human Rights and Equity Office logo evokes the same feelings of community, support, sharing and inclusion in a modern format that can be widely used in both print and online applications.
