With Winnipeg hosting the third conference of this international gathering focused on stories, knowledge and strength in Indigenous communities, we were commissioned to design the event logo and website.
Pursuing a logo that could represent Métis, Inuit and First Nation culture simultaneously, we chose to weave in a mixture of traditional imagery of Indigenous Peoples in Canada into a stylized turtle that anchors the design.
As preparations ramp up for this critical international gathering, the organizers, presenters and delegates have a central digital home with supporting brand materials to store and showcase the beautiful traditions and cultures of Indigenous People in this year’s host city.
