Nipîy Tu
Briefing
We were approached for a logo that reflected Nipîy Tu Research and Knowledge Centre as a community gathering place for stories and knowledge, while also encapsulating their work in preserving and protecting the Delta through Indigenous knowledge and environmental research.
Approach
As an Indigenous-led resource centre, our approach to the logo was to reflect the relationship between people, the land, and the life that NTRKC is trying to preserve and protect. We also wanted to embody the core values of Nipîy Tu Research and Knowledge of Centre including Indigenous knowledge, respect, harmony and equality.

Result
The final logo design combined meaningful elements representing aquatic life, the land and how water connects us all. It is a stunning symbol for the work that Nipîy Tu Research and Knowledge Centre does to protect the Delta, and how the health of the land is deeply connected to the health of the people. The design embodies community and the strength of Indigenous knowledge in preserving and protecting the land.
