Briefing

The First Nations Finance Authority (FNFA) tasked Vincent Design with creating an annual report identity with various motifs that emulated Indigenous communities across Canada. They sought to encapsulate the rich traditions and natural landscapes through botanical elements, cultural symbols and artisanal craftsmanship.

Approach

Our approach used textile and graphic elements to pay homage to traditional artistry, referencing beadwork, quillwork, and woven basketry. The colour palette is drawn from natural materials—earth tones, vibrant florals, and the rich hues found in regalia.

Result

The use of all of these elements in the motifs creates a visual language that celebrates heritage and can be carried throughout the annual report each year. The result is a layered and meaningful aesthetic that balances tradition and professionalism — strengthening brand recognition, elevating the report’s visual impact, and honouring the communities FNFA serves.
