TELUS 2022 Indigenous Reconciliation & Connectivity Report
Briefing
TELUS came to Vincent Design with a collection of stories of how technology creates transformation in Indigenous communities. It was our job to bring them to life in the design of the report.
Approach
Designing the report meant arriving at a way to present the awe-inspiring photography of Mason Mashon, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, and the artwork of Yahl ‘Aadas (Cori Savard), Haida Nation. The artist carried the report’s themes of communication and connectivity through her depiction of the beings of Haida Gwaii, messengers sharing knowledge to bring about change.
Responsibilities
- Brand Application
- Consultation
- Design
- Layout
Result
Colour was added to Savard’s artwork, and the art was combined with Mashon’s photography with the design approval of both artists. Lines in the design expressed land and connectivity in the 100-page book that had more in common with a coffee table book than any corporate report.
